- right then - some painted-up versions of a few of the various bits and pieces I've sculpted thus far, made to look probably way better than they actually do thanks to the talented brush-pushers involved (and no, I don't include the ones I've painted meself as being among that peerage). Anyway - if you run around with yer mouse you'll find that a few of these pics will blow up a bit bigger...

Rogerick, a rhino-warrior of the fearsome Sarumaka clan. If you're worried that he appears to have no sheath for his sword, it's because the Sarumaka, a clan dedicated to battle,

believe that a warrior's chosen weapon should never leave his hand, even in death. They are, by necessity, perfectly ambidextrous.

Painted by Matt Lucas, differently known in several otherwheres as gi6ers: you can see more of his great brushworks in his coolminiornot gallery, here.

Cormac the giant, guardian of the Great Stone Gate. Also painted by gi6ers.

bases for both models supplied as part of the figures' kit-parts, all moulded and cast by Fenris Games

- no blow-ups on the next lot, 'cause they're quite bigged up already: first of my 'kiergi' aliens, as based and painted by our Ian

(who also happens to be a certain geronimo of a certain already-mentioned kit-part making, moulding and casting, wolf-related games company...)

- had a quick go at 'em meself too... a very quick go, couple of tins of spray-paint and a few dots of paint for the eyes; all three now available as cast miniatures from Hasslefree

- fox-spirit from the Unseelie Suspects/Wylde Hunt competition, paint job and base by geronimo again:

some prehistoric paintwork now, another bit of mad splashing-about by yours truly, been rattling the Halfords cans again; these are the dino-mount sculpts I did for Hasslefree Miniatures, the cast lead-alikes of which are available from their store now:

lastly for the mo, a trio of trogs, Old-skool Monster-Manual-#1-style fellas sculpted for Otherworld Miniatures, and painted yet again by little old me, mainly 'cause up to the point of writing this (early 2009 for them that's keeping note), I don't think I've seen any examples of 'em having had the brush-up - hence a bit more sodding about in the cellar with stinky spray cans, and violin. Or that might well be voila. Still not entirely happy with the way the pics have come out here, so these 'uns might get replaced:

- someone's done a much better job of 'em now, a properly talented fella by the name of Andrew Taylor:

painted trogs

Also by Andrew, these beautifully-painted rats:

painted rat miniatures

- as well as my frogs;

...and my giant lizards...
